Rami Al Ali, a designer born in Syria, developed a love for refined aesthetics at a young age. His passion for fine fabrics and design led him to pursue Visual Arts at the college of Fine Arts in Damascus, Syria, where his true talent was recognized.
After impressing his professors with an unconventional presentation of the core curriculum, Al Ali graduated in 1995 and began his fashion career in Dubai and Beirut, working with some of the region’s top fashion houses. In 2001, Rami Al Ali Couture was established in Dubai, showcasing bold creations and uncompromising couture designs.
The brand gained popularity through inspiring fashion shows and features in leading fashion publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Business of Fashion.
Al Ali’s success continued with collaborations with global brands including Swarovski, Bulgari, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Messika.
In 2009, he was invited as a guest member of Alta Moda Alta Roma, further strengthening his relationships with the European fashion media. In 2012, Al Ali debuted at Couture Fashion Week in Paris, showcasing his Spring-Summer 2012 collection.
Today, his brand is synonymous with creative artistry and modern elegance, worn by sought-after socialites and international celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lopez, and Beyonce Knowles. To address the shift in the fashion industry towards sustainability, Rami Al Ali launched Rami Al Ali White in 2020, an annual edition of ready-to-wear evening and bridal designs that prioritize longevity over overproduction.
