On July 9, 2026, Syrian designer Rami Al Ali presented his Fall 2026 Haute Couture collection, “Threads of Light: A New Dawn,” in Paris.

This marked his second season as a guest member of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode – as the first Syrian to receive this honor.

Held at 25, Rue Médéric in the 17th arrondissement, the show explored optimism, memory, and resilience through the metaphor of sunrise.

Al Ali used the collection to reflect on Middle Eastern heritage amidst regional conflicts, framing couture as a language of renewal.

The collection featured sculptural bustiers with draped, rounded, and asymmetrical forms, contrasting traditional silhouettes with architectural precision. The palette included warm ivory, champagne, golden amber, and soft metallics to evoke dawn light. Intricate hand embroidery and beadwork added texture, weaving in Syrian craft and Islamic geometry.

“Threads of Light” offered a vision of hope, solidifying Al Ali’s status among the world’s most compelling couturiers by using fashion as a vehicle for storytelling and healing.
