Gaurav Gupta’s Spring/Summer 2025 Paris Couture Collection, “Across the Flame” tells a powerful story of love, resilience, and transcendence, inspired by Gupta’s near-fatal accident and his healing journey with life partner Navkirat Sodhi.
Central to the collection is the concept of “Astral Projection”, symbolising transformation and rebirth, exemplified by the “Twin Flame Ensemble” in vibrant ochre, representing their spirits tempered by adversity.
The collection features innovative elements like midnight blue metal breastplates for strength, denim pieces like the Bucket Corset and Distressed Bucket Jacket as a rebellion against tradition, and brocade from Banaras woven with mantras of solace.
Gupta emphasises the craftsmanship involved, showcasing new embroidery techniques with materials like raffia and micro pearls.
The accompanying jewelry, including the Chakra earring and Infinity ear cuff, serves as symbols of resilience and rebirth, culminating in a deeply personal testament to the power of transformation and the infinite light within all of us.
