
The 29th International Festival of Fashion Creators took place from October 10 to 12, 2025, in Dinan, Brittany, France, transforming the town into a vibrant hub for emerging fashion. This festival showcased ten young talents, each presenting unique collections that revealed a rich diversity of styles and creative visions. Under the prestigious presidency of Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin, president and artistic director of the Pierre Cardin House, and Nelly-Claire Rodi, a pioneer in fashion forecasting, the event solidified its role as a crucial platform for the next generation of designers.
The festival featured a well-structured program that blended professional expertise with public engagement. A jury composed of notable industry figures, including Émeline Beaumanoir, Claudia Franz, and Eve Gilles (Miss France 2024), evaluated the candidates based on originality, mastery, and potential. In a bid to democratize fashion, the festival organized open-air fashion shows and introduced the “Parcours Like” initiative, allowing local residents and visitors to vote for their favorite looks via social media, thus fostering community involvement.
Several prestigious awards were presented during the festival.
The Dinan Territory Merchants / Public Prize was awarded to Gianni Lafay, while the Grand Jury Prize went to Julien Paoletti for his exceptional talent.
The Royal Mer Prize, which grants the winner the opportunity to collaborate on a capsule collection, was awarded to Luna Gambier.
The Texpertise Sustainability / Neonite Prize recognized Léa Senda for her focus on recovery and upcycling, and the Texpertise Network Prize allowed Hugo Gaudry to represent France at the VIATT textile fair in Vietnam.
The Eco-Responsible Prize was also awarded to Julien Paoletti for his innovative accessory made from jute coffee sacks.
Additionally, two Surprise Heart Prizes were given to Rebecca Nardi and Maxime Varrier for their outstanding contributions.
The festival also introduced the Cardin Prize, awarded to Eden Kilola Zola for his work with natural materials from Congo.
This festival emphasized a commitment to ethical fashion, showcasing responsible practices like upcycling and the use of natural or recycled materials, reflecting a growing trend towards eco-conscious design. It not only nurtured young talent but also engaged the community, making fashion accessible and participatory. Dominique Damien-Réhel, the festival’s founder, has been a key advocate for opening fashion to the public, reinforcing the festival’s mission to celebrate creativity.
