WAVES OF DIAMONDS AND WHITE GOLD

To mark the occasion of Paris Fashion Week, the Maison unveils its latest High Jewellery capsule collection, Déferlante de Chaumet. A true ode to movement and life, the craftsmen of the 12 Vendôme workshop have succeeded in capturing crashing waves in full motion to showcase creations made entirely of white gold and diamond.

Blending both tradition and modernity, this capsule offers combinations of cuts, virtuoso settings and daring angles, to merge the elegance of Chaumet’s creations with their bold character. The centrepiece of the collection, the Déferlante de Chaumet tiara depicts a wave crashing on the shore with fascinating realism. It took 1,600 brilliant-cut and step-cut diamonds to create this unique setting, capturing the energy of water with unparalleled virtuosity.

As if swept away by the tide, the diamonds used to set the Déferlante de Chaumet necklace cascade down to the décolleté, resembling drops of a wave crashing on the shore. Among them, a magnificent 3.57-carat pear-cut diamond reveals the purity of its water. As Empress Joséphine’s favourite cut, evoking dewdrops, the pear is one of the Maison’s signatures. With the Déferlante de Chaumet collection, the craftsmen at the 12 Vendôme workshop have once again succeeded in the art of capturing Nature in all of its forms.

For more than two centuries, this motif of Nature in motion, particularly water, has been a major source of inspiration for Chaumet. Waterfalls, drops and stalactites have inspired tiaras, hair ornaments, brooches and combs through the ages.

In 2022, Chaumet presents a spectacular new interpretation that is more contemporary than ever.
